Coffee Cake

I found this recipe years ago and am now copying it here from our family cookbook binder. Enjoy!



Coffee Cake
2 cups Bisquick or Jiffy Mix                                 
3 Tbl. sugar                                                             
1 egg                                                                     
¾ cup milk
2 Tbl oil or shortening
1/2 cup Bisquick
1/2 cup brown sugar
2 Tbl soft butter 

Mix together Bisquick, sugar, egg, milk and oil until combined.  Pour into a square baking dish.  In a separate bowl, mix ½ cup Bisquick, brown sugar, and butter together with a fork until crumbly (don’t use melted butter).  Sprinkle topping over batter and bake at 400 degrees for about 20 minutes or until done.
