Cinnamon Cake

I found this recipe years ago and am now copying it here from our family cookbook binder. Enjoy!



Cinnamon Cake
3 cups flour  
¾ cup sugar 
¼ tsp. salt 
4 tsp. baking powder 
1 ½ cups milk  
½ cup melted butter 
2 eggs 
2 tsp. vanilla
1/2 cup melted butter
1/2 cup brown sugar
2 Tbl flour
2 tsp cinnamon
1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
2 Tbl milk
1/2 tsp vanilla

Mix 3 cups flour, sugar, salt and baking powder.  Add 1 ½ cups milk, ½ cup melted butter, eggs and 2 tsp. vanilla.  Beat until smooth.  Pour batter onto a cookie sheet (one with sides).  In a separate bowl mix ½ cup melted butter, brown sugar, 2 Tbl. flour and cinnamon.  Swirl the cinnamon mixture into the batter on the cookie sheet.  Bake at 375 degrees for 15 minutes or until cooked through.  For glaze, mix together powdered sugar, 2 Tbl. milk and ½ tsp. vanilla until smooth and drizzle over top of cooled cake.
