Did you know you can make your own sugar cubes? And with a few cute silicone molds and some drops of food coloring, you can make festive seasonal sugar cubes?
Homemade Sugar Cubes
Ingredients:
- 1 cup sugar, or sugar free substitute (i.e. Truvia Sweet Complete GRANULATED sweetener)
- 1 tsp. water
- optional food coloring
Directions:
- Stir together the sugar and water until everything is evenly distributed.
- Add any food coloring your desire (too many drops can water down your sugar mixture, so you can always add more sugar if needed).
- Press the mixture into your molds and let sit to dry overnight or for about 24 hours (or until dry). Store in an airtight container.
- You can make a zero-calorie sugar-free option. Just be sure your sugar substitute is in a granulated form. Otherwise, the instructions are the same.

Fine details from the mold can get lost, especially with pure white cubes. |
