Christmas Wreath Cookies

I found this recipe years ago and am now copying it here from our family cookbook binder. Enjoy!



Wreath Cookies
34 large marshmallows                                      
1 cube butter                                                           
1 tsp. vanilla or almond extract
1 3/4 tsp green food coloring
4 1/4 cups corn flakes
Red Hot candies

Melt marshmallows and butter in sauce pan and stir until smooth.  Add vanilla and food coloring.  Remove from heat and add corn flakes.  Stir carefully to coat then drop by tablespoons on wax paper and shape into wreaths.  Decorate with red hots.  Make wreaths 3 ½-4 inches.  Butter fingers to spread them out.
