Soft Chocolate Chips Cookies (Gavin's Cookies)

I found this recipe years ago and am now copying it here from our family cookbook binder. Enjoy!

Soft Chocolate Chip Cookies (Gavin’s Cookies)

To make dough, mix together:

1 cup butter 

½ cup sugar 

1 ½ cups brown sugar 

1 egg 

1 tsp. vanilla

1 1/2 tsp baking soda

1 tsp salt

1 bag chocolate chips

flour (enough to make a soft but firm ball, about 2 cups) 

Heat oven to 350 degrees.  Bake cookies for about 9 minutes.
