Soft Chocolate Chips Cookies (Gavin's Cookies)

I found this recipe years ago and am now copying it here from our family cookbook binder. Enjoy!

Soft Chocolate Chip Cookies (Gavin’s Cookies)

Ingredients:

• 1 cup butter 
• ½ cup sugar 
• 1 ½ cups brown sugar 
• 1 egg 
• 1 tsp. vanilla
• 1 1/2 tsp baking soda
• 1 tsp salt
• 1 bag chocolate chips
• flour (enough to make a soft but firm ball, about 2 cups) 

Directions:

1. Heat oven to 350 degrees.  
2. Mix all together and portion out onto baking sheet.
3. Bake cookies for about 9 minutes.
