We had this for dinner last night, and we really enjoyed it. The original recipe is from here: https://cookinginthemidwest.com/blog/sloppy-joe-garlic-bread/#recipe but I think the next time I make these, I will probably do less Worcestershire sauce (maybe none at all) and instead bump up the BBQ sauce. I also did enough chopped onion that I didn't feel the need to put the full recommended amount of onion powder. Just notes for next time.
Garlic Bread Sloppy Joe's
Ingredients:
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 chopped onion
- 1/2 tsp each of salt pepper,
- 1 tsp onion powder and paprika
- 1 TBSP minced garlic
- 1-2 TBSP Worcestershire
- 1 8 oz can of tomato sauce
- 1/4 cup of ketchup
- 1 TBSP of mustard
- 2 TBSP of bbq sauce
- Shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 8 count box of garlic bread toast
Instructions:
- Bake garlic bread in the oven following the directions on the package. I use a box that has an 8 count.
- Brown ground beef and onion in a skillet and add all seasonings.
- Add minced garlic, Worcestershire, tomato sauce, ketchup, mustard, and bbq sauce.
- Let simmer on low for about 5 minutes.
- Add sloppy joe mix on top of the baked garlic bread.
- Add shredded cheddar cheese on top and put them back in the oven to melt the cheese.
