Saw this recipe on TikTok and decided to try it out as an easier version of beef stroganoff with ground beef instead of stew meat. Everyone liked it just fine, but also agreed that my Instant Pot recipe is a bit better. But it's nice to have options for the different meats you may or may not have on hand.

Easy Beef Stroganoff
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 chopped onion
- 1/2 tsp each of salt and pepper
- 1 tsp each of Italian seasoning and onion powder
- 1 TBSP minced garlic
- 2 TBSP Worcestershire sauce
- 3 tbsp butter
- 3 tbsp flour
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 cup sour cream
- 10 oz medium egg noodles
- Fresh or dried parsley
Instructions
- Heat a large pot of water on the stove and cook egg noodles according to the directions on the package.
- Heat a large skillet over medium high heat. Add one pound of ground beef and a chopped onion. Season with salt, pepper, Italian seasoning, and onion powder. Once beef is cooked drain any extra grease.
- Turn the heat down to medium. Add 1 tbsp of minced garlic and 2 tbsp of Worcestershire sauce. Stir everything together well. Add 3 tbsp of butter to the skillet. Once the butter is melted add 3 tbsp of flour. Stir together and let cook for at least one minute.
- Next, add 2 cups of beef broth and stir well. Let this continue cooking until it thickens. Once the mixture has thickened remove the skillet from the heat and stir in 1 cup of sour cream. Add the cooked egg noodles and stir everything together well. Top with some fresh or dried parsley and serve!
